AESAs deliver cutting-edge combat performance for next-generation fighter and unmanned aircraft, where size and performance are crucial. Viasat delivers multi-function capabilities for tactical, strategic and C2 platforms, enabling both beyond-line-of-sight and line-of-sight communications, with open standards for control and status interfaces.

Viasat’s high-throughput, millimeter-wave AESAs enable satellite-to-satellite links for communication and networking. Antennas can steer beams for rapid, accurate acquisition and position tracking, seamless handover between satellites, and perform on-the-fly reconfiguration of antenna characteristics enabling end-to-end terminals to communicate in hybrid orbital (e.g. MEO to GEO) environments.

Viasat’s multi-orbit, multi-constellation wideband AESAs are designed for the dynamically demanding beyond line-of-sight requirements of comms-on-the-pause and comms-on-the-move environments. Our systems provide unparalleled battlespace situational awareness that translates into enhanced crew effectiveness and survivability.

Viasat’s multi-orbit, multi-constellation wideband AESAs are uniquely designed to meet the demanding shipboard electromagnetic environment.

Viasat receives over $80M in development awards for multi-function AESAs across multiple domains
Viasat is leveraging commercial AESA phased array antenna technology and products to meet these demanding defense requirements.

The developments will allow Viasat's existing phased array technology to be extended and adapted to support defense operational environments and mission needs, enabling scalable, and highly flexible capabilities to be achieved at previously unattainable recurring cost.
